Ever been kinder?

'The world is a conglomerate of diverse souls. All we need to connect with each other is a little bit of kindness.'

Our life is mostly defined as the summation of our deeds between the first cry and the last breath. You,I and everyone of us wake up,work and sleep. But,we are different. Different in our ways to cope with survival. Life is nothing more than a basic survival instinct extended by the need to move forward. Sounds a bit harsh, and maybe far from reality too. Life is beautiful, you say and you have felt it in every little way you could. What makes life this beauty that we can't bring ourselves to let go of? Human emotions...and one of the prime human emotion is: Kindness.

What actually is this kindness? Is it being nice to someone?

Well, kindness is a gesture that comes with pure intent. An unforced feeling of care or concern for an absolute stranger or someone known to you is the most familiar way of being kind. When we take a step forward to help someone, we are being kind. This help need not be monetary or materistically lavish. The act should be a deed;selfless in nature with an intention catering to the well-being of the other person. 'Give and expect nothing in return' is what serves as the basis of your intent.

What does it take to be kind? Are rich people more kind?

Kindness is about giving...It could be the sanctity of your emotions, the beauty of your thoughts or the hardwork in your pennies or it could be the courage in your forgiveness. Kindness comes in many forms and only rich can afford it. Those who are rich in purity. Only those who are rich in goodness and carry pure intentions can be kind. Remember, kindness is not the measure of material wealth you have shared,it is the count of the remedies you have imparted to people in times of their need.

What does kindness looks like?

This one's a tricky one and yet simpler... Look around you. Do you not see your mother giving up her comforts to look after yours? You will call it duty, but that's kindness. Remember that watchman who feeds stray dogs in evenings? That is kindness. That one time when your teacher forgave you for lying about your homework? That's kindness. When you stopped by to help that stranger who got into a bike accident? That's kindness. That little kid who walks by the road in rags but doesn't stop by in dispair of reality. That's kindness. The person whom you met on Instagram and talked about things just to make them feel better? That's kindness.

Kindness is within you and everything around you. Not only does it look like lending a  shoulder to someone or  solve their problems but sometimes its about accepting yourself for who you are too! Acknowledging someone, accepting someone, being there for someone, forgiving someone, giving chance to someone, praising someone, loving someone and caring for someone, being patient with reality, believing in yourself and accepting yourself just the way you are...Every moment, you are being kinder and richer in soul.

Why be kind?

Nice question...One need not be kind, because everyone one of us is actually kind in ways one does not realise. With time, only shades of this kindness remains. Some people tend to be kind towards others while they completely neglect their own requirements, the other times people tend to look after their own needs, paying no heed to anything else;often termed as selfish. Kindness helps us to connect with people as we divide the problems amongst ourselves and with the efforts that come from within,we fix those small pieces of trouble, anxiety and doubts. As we help others,we learn,we evolve,we become better in mind and in soul. We become more humane and the life feels more purposeful. Kindness makes us feel fuller and it amplifies the joy of our journey as mortal beings!

To put it simply- 'We are supreme, because we feel. Kindness only makes us more supreme!' and that being said, look around you and you will see people becoming better versions of themselves in big and small ways in the way they express their kindness...

Ask yourself-"Ever been kinder?" and maybe you will see the change in the outlook.
